FIX: Lenovo Laptop HAS POWER but NO DISPLAY/ BLACK SCREEN (after switching EUFI to LEGACY on BIOS)



 

PROBLEM:
Lenovo S145 Laptop.  HAS POWER but NO DISPLAY/ BLACK SCREEN (after switching EUFI to LEGACY on BIOS)

 
Troubleshooting (did not wok with my laptop problem) 
- Power off, then reset RAM 
- Remove the battery, then long press the power button for 30 seconds, then retart. then power on without battery 
- Reset the CMOS battery connection 
- Remove the battery, cmos, ram, harddrive connections (for about an hour), then long press the power button for 30 seconds, connect all parts, then power on 
 
 
SOLUTION:  Re-access BIOS setup then switch back to EUFI
 
 
Follow these steps accordingly
  1. press novo button (wait for about 10-15 seconds before accessing the BIOS setup)
  2. press DOWN ARROW KEY "once"
  3. press ENTER KEY "once" 
  4. press RIGHT ARROW KEY "3 times" 
  5. press ENTER KEY "once" 
  6. press UP ARROW KEY "once" 
  7. press ENTER KEY "once" 
  8. press RIGHT ARROW KEY "once" 
  9. press ENTER KEY "2 times" 
 
DONE!!!

Windows XP wont boot after power failure

Open the case and disconnect the following;           - power cable connected to motherboard           - hard disk cables (IDE or SATA)           - CMOS Battery 4.
